Madonna’s long-rumoured remix companion to ‘Ray of Light’, ‘Veronica Electronica’ is set for release later this summer. Set to drop on 25th July, it arrives as part of the Silver Collection, a series of limited-edition silver vinyl reissues celebrating highlights from the Queen of Pop’s extensive catalogue.
Originally imagined in 1998 but shelved following the enduring success of ‘Ray of Light’, ‘Veronica Electronica’ showcases a shimmering suite of rare and unreleased remixes by some of the era’s most celebrated producers: Sasha, BT, Peter Rauhofer, Victor Calderone, William Orbit, and Club 69. Also included is ‘Gone, Gone, Gone’ a previously unheard demo co-produced by Madonna and Rick Nowels.
This eight-track collection will be available both digitally and on silver vinyl. Fans who order from Madonna’s official stores will also receive a silver mylar lithograph.
As a teaser, the reworked deep cut ‘Skin (The Collaboration Remix Edit)’ is available now to stream, offering a glimpse into what might have been the sonic sequel to Ray of Light’s transcendental glow.
