Lorde has officially announced her fifth studio album, titled ‘Virgin’. The announcement comes after she released the first single from the album – ‘What Was That’ – last week generating positive reviews from fans and critics.
The striking album cover has also been revealed and shows a photo of an X-ray of a female’s anatomy with a belt buckle, zipper and IUD shown.
The album arrives on 27th June via Republic Records and is produced by Lorde and Jim-E Stack with production also by Devontè Haynes, Dan Nigro, Buddy Ross, Andrew Aged & Fabiana Palladino.
Lorde signed off the announcement via her official website with: “100% WRITTEN IN BLOOD”. Check out the album cover below.
