Addison Rae first rose to fame through her presence on TikTok and is arguably responsible for getting countless children hooked on dance trends. With that notoriety, she was able to expand her media presence—landing roles in films, launching a range of beauty products, and releasing a string of pop singles. While her music initially didn’t generate the same excitement as her social media fame, public perception began to shift with the release of her major label debut single, ‘Diet Pepsi’, last year.

A breathy synth-pop track, Diet Pepsi reignited interest in Rae as a serious musical artist, allowing her to shed the ‘social media personality’ label that many had written her off with. The song featured on several end-of-year lists and performed strongly on the charts, peaking inside the top 10 in the UK. She later appeared on a remix of Charli XCX’s ‘von dutch’, going viral once again thanks to her fun, scream-filled contribution.

Following this success, Rae released three more tracks—Aquamarine, High Fashion, and Headphones On—each continuing the synth-pop style established by ‘Diet Pepsi’. She has now officially announced her debut album, simply titled Addison. Alongside the singles, the album will feature eight new tracks and will be available in various physical formats, including magenta, blue, and standard black vinyl.

If what we’ve heard so far is anything to go by, then the world truly is her oyster—as she coos on ‘Aquamarine’.
