What is Loquat Loop?
Loquat Loop is an independent website founded by Chris, originally focusing on music, with occasional explorations of film and culture. It was created as a space for clear and considered writing about popular and anticipated releases.
What began primarily as a music publication has evolved into something more personal, introducing book reviews alongside its existing content and embracing a more individual perspective. The intention isn’t to abandon its editorial roots, but to allow a little more personality into the writing.
Loquat Loop looks beyond appearances. Like the fruit itself, it’s about what lies beneath: the texture, tone and substance that stay with you.
Loquat Loop explores both current releases and past works that endure. The writing aims to understand why certain sounds, visuals and stories continue to resonate, and how they reflect the world around us. Or, occasionally, just to swoon about how brilliant they are.
Based in the UK, Loquat Loop publishes reviews and occasional cultural commentary.
